Location and accommodation

The city of SibenikThe city of Šibenik

Šibenik is the oldest native Croatian city on the Adriatic. It’s located in a protected natural harbour, at the mouth of the beautiful Krka River.

The history of Šibenik goes back to 1066 when it was mentioned for the first time in a document of King Peter Krešimir IV. The town's status was obtained in 1290 when the Šibenik diocese was established.

With numerous fortification and religious monuments, small galleries and museums, as well as two national parks and a few small islands in the direct vicinity, Šibenik is an amazing destination for those hungry for culture and history.
