Distances by road from the following cities:
Much of the 300 km distance from Zagreb to Šibenik is covered by the A1 motorway. Please keep in mind that it is a toll motorway, and the Zagreb-Šibenik stretch will cost you about 152kn (car) each way.
Nearest airports are Split (45km to the southeast) and Zadar (50km northwest). Local buses run from Split and Zadar airports to the relevant city bus stations, where you can get an onward service to Šibenik. Journey time to Šibenik from Zadar bus station is about 1hr 30min; from Split it’s about 1hr 50min.
It's also possible to fly to Zagreb and continue your journey by bus, using one of various direct bus connections from Zagreb to Šibenik. We'll be happy to help you organise your transfer.
There are 15 express buses per day from Zagreb to ŠIbenik, with an average journey time of 4hr 20min. There is an additional handful of Zagreb-to-Šibenik buses that take a longer route, calling in at Zadar or the Plitivice Lakes on the way. Ticket prices range from 136kn to 151kn one way.
Getting from Zagreb to Šibenik by night-train takes about nine hours and involves a long wait at Knin, where you change to a bus. Day trips to Šibenik by rail are rather impractical.
